Limit Most Viewed Stats to Current Category?

(1/2) > >>

Hi there,

I am using WP-Stats for a client:  I have the widget installed (using WP 2.0.7 with a custom theme).  I wanted to know if and how it would be possible to limit the listing of most viewed posts to just the current category?

I don't have a live URL to send (the widget is currently only active in the Dev and QA environments, and obviously I can't post the login info).

The widget is active on a category main page, but right now, it's pulling the 3 Most Viewed posts/pages from ALL categories, and I need to pull the 3 most viewed from just THAT category.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

GaMerZ:
You can try downloading the latest version of wp-views, it should work with 2.0.7. then after that read the readme under Usage tab, then open up stats.php and modify accordingly.

Thanks for the lightning-fast reply!!!

I will give that a shot.

Thanks again!

Hey there,

One more quick question:  I'm getting N/A as a result, but I think I know why:

Can this plugin select from sub-categories of a parent?  In my case, the section (category) is "Videos".  It has sub-categories ("Cooking", "Behind the Scenes", etc...) to which the posts are assigned (ie, no posts are assigned to the category Videos, but rather assigned to its sub-categories).

If I am on the Videos main page, is it possible to show the N most viewed posts pulled from among all of Videos' associated sub-categories?

Thanks again for your help!

yea that is the thing I am going to tell u about, it will not work with sub cats as of yet, because I can't find a way to list down the sub categorys ID, it would require alot of query
