All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

I highly recommend phpsysinfo for ideas on more detailed information to webmasters:
http://phpsysinfo.sourceforge.net/

I've always wondered if there is a way to determine the load on the MySQL engine specifically. Server load in general can be low even though MySQL is going crazy on a shared box.

nice idea there on the load on mysql. But I do not think so we can determine that. I used to use phpsysinfo lol

Yeah, awhile back I researched the load for mysql a bit and gave up.

Best you can do, if you have phpmyadmin is to look at the mysql status panel.

on cpanel for example:
http://yourdomainname:2083/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/server_status.php

Critical stuff is like total current connects, max connects since startup, unindexed searches, unindexed joins, slow_queries, etc.

Not necessarily - under cpanel certain limited functions can run under the root even though the user has no root access themselves.

I would love to see the "slow query log" on my server but on a shared box it's restricted access.
