Problem restoring database

(1/2) > >>

mkadmin:
I just reinstalled WordPress 2.1 on my blog. I have a backup file of my old blog (also of WP 2.1). In Db Options I specified the backup path as wp-content/backup. Using FTP client, I placed my backup file (wp_wordpress_20070124_893.sql.gz) in this folder and tried restoring it using the Manage Backup Db tab.

After I click the Restore button, I get the success message but nothing gets imported. Another funny thing is that in the Manage Backup DB tab, the Date/Time of the backup file is displayed as "Thursday, 1st January 1970 @ 00:00" but the backup file was generated on "Thursday, January 25, 2007, 1:57:20 AM."

Can anyone help me restore my DB?

GaMerZ:
erm you sure that is the backup file generated by DBManager?

mkadmin:
No this backup file was generated by the WP-DB-Backup  plugin whiuch is now inbuilt into WP 2.1.

GaMerZ:
I am it will not work because DBManager will only works if it is backup using DBManager because it uses the native MYSQL way to backup rather than using PHP to generate the SQL script. U can try using phpmyadmin to import it

Ttech:
Hmm...
