All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

I don't think that is appropriate as people only paginate comments if there are many comments. Like forums they paginate topics and they do not have a show all topics link.

I would like to make a reasonable argument for a Show All button.

I have a popular post with some 1500+ comments.  Even with caching plugins it kills my server.  The built in comment pagination of WP 2.7 fixes the server load.  Scattered throughout the 1500 comments, about 10% of them are very poignant and relevant.  I've been asked by the users for an easy way to view all the comments, since clicking through pages and pages of paginated comments is extremely tough to "CTRL + F" on.

I think 1.5K comments would hang your browser first before it gets loaded. Try http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser, it hands every time I try!

That is a good point.

That didn't hang my latest version of Firefox with some three windows and 50 tabs between them already open.  That's on a $500 refurb Dell, not something of great processing power.  I would also say that the table structure of that page is a little more complicated on that page.

And if browsers crashed at 1500, I wouldn't have been new ones.  Of course now I can get them because I paginate, but I got up to that without pagination (for the most part).
