All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

Saving settings results not working

Since a couple of days i wanted to ban some IP's and when i save it shows a error 404 or on my other blog it directs to the homepage..

Version 1.50. Whats wrong ?

Nope not working. Do i need to upload. Seems a re install from the plugin search does not resolve the issue.

When i save it goes to this url and results is a 404 error not found...
http://www.mydomainname/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-ban/ban-options.php

Re-download the plugin from http://lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming/php/#wp-ban and upload it again.

Ensure that the permissions are set correctly, folders are suppose to be chmod to 755 and files to 644 in /wp-content/plugins

Nothing same error not saving and redirect to 404 page not found.

Got an older version before 1.50 to check if that resolves the problem?

Erm you can try, but I don't think it is a version problem because nothing much has been changed from 1.40 to 1.50

Indeed it did not work. Arrrrgggghhh its bugging me that its not working. It worked fine. Now it does not save my settings. It redirects to a not found 404.

I even disabled other plugins still nothing. And it worked before the 2.8.1 wordpress update. Something must have changed.

2.8 to 2.8.1 does not have any database changes if I am not wrong. I have no idea why you are getting 404, maybe checking your Apache error log can give u more details

Strange i have another blog same theme and it still works on that blog. Can't figure out why its not working and results in a 404. Maybe a reinstall of the whole wordpress could do the trick.

Does the save settings insert data in the database? Maybe i can manualy delete the fields in the database and then reinstall WP-Ban.

Damn i give up AccesQontrol plugin did the job. I had to delete WP ban.. Bummer ...   Nice plugin Maybe a tip for WP ban /// ...
