All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

Fatal Error Trying to Activate
« on: 30 December 2009, 01:24 »
Hi,

I tried to activate the plugin but it can't and WordPress tells me it's because of a fatal error.

I have WP 2.9, with featurepitch theme from WooThemes.com. I tried deactivating all my plugins, and still get the error.

What is the error? If the error is cannot redeclare function, please search for it in this forum

I already did search the forum, hence why I tried the other tactics involved (deactivating all plugins, etc).

"Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error."

Nothing else is mentioned.

Hmm, a little hard for me to solve, are you able to install a new copy of WP somewhere your server with just the plugin and see if you can activate it?

Or check your error_log to see if you can find the error after activating the plugin.

Oh, I have several installations on the same server and the plugin works beautifully. It just simply doesn't want to activate for this specific installation.

BTW, do you mean my server's error_log? Or something else?

Yeap error_log, see if there is any other info. Because fatal error is too vague, can't really pinpoint anything.

Checked error_log. Nothing. It says nothing.

Hmm, maybe try deleting the plugin, re-download the plugin and try again.

Nope. Doesn't work. I still get this message...

"Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error."
