All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

Post Ratings are Rating Incorrectly

I was previously running the post ratings plugin on wordpress 1.0 and everything worked fine.
I then decided I should proberbly upgrade wordpress so today I upgraded to 1.9, everything works fine except wp-postratings.

For some reason when a visitor votes the rating is incorrect.

For example, if a visitor votes 10 it will register as a 1 or a 0. If for example 3 people have voted 10 it will show up as something like 4.8 instead of 10.

What on earth is going on?

Now it is 2.9.1, so you mean you update from 2.9.0 to 2.9.1 AND did not touch WP-PostRatings at all?

Seriously, I have no idea because 2.9.0 to 2.9.1 it just bug fixes, no major changes have been done to the core and I upgraded my site and I can rate without problems. You may want to check WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Ratings Options to see if the values are all correct.

You may want to try on the default theme and deactivate all other plugins to eliminate theme and plugins compatibility issue or you can try to reinstall the plugin via WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Uninstall Ratings (all ratings data will be gone) and re-download the plugin and install it again

ok, thanks for your reply and I have sorted it. I don't know why upgrading stopped it working exactly but this was the problem:

After logging into WP-Admin -> Ratings -> Ratings Options

I noticed that the Individual Rating Text/Value only went up to 5 although the max ratings were set to 10.
So what I did was manually add values 6 - 10 where it said ratings value.
