WordPress Plugins > WP-DownloadManager
Files are not uploaded to directory
(1/1)

I've installed the plugin and adjusted a couple of the templates and options to suit my test website. I uploaded a PDF file and it worked splendidly.
I deleted the test file from my downloads list and uploaded a couple of other PDF files, successfully according to the plugin. The links to the files appeared ok in the sections/pages set to display them, but instead of the PDF symbol beside them, there is a '?' symbol. Clicking the file link leads to a "File does not exist." error.
When I check wp-content/files (the location the had been previously uploading to) for the files, they are not present there. A search of the entire wordpress directory confirms that they are not present at all.
I literally changed nothing between the working test and the time this error began to appear. The absolute path and other settings in the Download options section remain the same as they were for the successful test. If anyone has an idea what may be happening I'd be grateful, I'm desperate to get this working!

Please ignore the above. I must have removed something from the absolute path, because that was the problem! Restoring it fixed my issue.

Had this issue again. For the sake of completeness/clarification:
The problem occurred again when I created a local copy of my website. On the live site, hosted on a shared windows server, the absolute path ("Download path") to the directory was just "wp-content\files". However, on a local copy of the site I had to include the entire path, changing this to "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wp-content\files" before it could work.
Hopefully might help someone with a similar issue.
Also: great plugin :)

I think you need to re-install your plugin now, Then you can upload your files easily to your directory.
