All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

2.11 and 2.0 Bugs?
« on: 22 August 2007, 21:35 »
Somehow I ended up with wp-email 2.0. Using wp2.2.1 wp-email is not updating the email_postid into MYSQL. Everything sends fine but the email_postid always stays "0" in the database.

I went to re-download wp-email from your site and noticed 2.1.1 is the latest available. Using 2.1.1 I noticed there is no friendemail field in the email form.

Please advise.

2.2 seems to work properly and updates the database. As usual, great work.

Question? When using the popup feature, the user still gets a "Back to..." message, but because you are in a popup the page will load in the popup. It might be more user friendly if the "Back to..." were surrounded by an "if" statement.

Changing the "after" message works fine in wp-admin, I was wondering if it could be changed from the code end because I think people may miss that part of the process.

On another note, when using the popup, the email sent is always the first email sent after switching to the popup. Any subsequent emails sent are always the first post sent, the post sent never updates when using the popup. I have tried it in Safari and Firefox and empty cahces on both to make sure I wasn't crazy.

This problem does not appear when using the standalone page.

Template is easier for most people, it was in the code at first, then some people requested it to be in the template, so I put it in.

I do not really understand your 2nd point, can you elaborate it with maybe screenshots?

Screenshot here shows the wrong email sent in the after popup. Note the "Email a copy of {post title}" is the correct title, but the "Article: {post title}" is a different article.

I will also leave it live on the single pages at our site for the next few hours so you can test yourself.

Hi,

Thanks for the bug report, I have fixed it, try overwriting email.php with this http://dev.wp-plugins.org/browser/wp-email/trunk/email/email.php?format=txt

Kindly get back to me to see if it works, thank you =)
