All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

OH! and I should reply that the traffic hasn't changed as far as Awstats and Google Analictics.

I'm not sure if it's the two plug-ins DB Cache Reloaded (http://www.poradnik-webmastera.com/projekty/db_cache_reloaded/) and WP Super Cache (http://ocaoimh.ie/wp-super-cache/) THAT HAVE CAUSE MY COUNTS TO GO TO CRAP.

(Cap lock sorry)

Anyway.. I've been fighting with my host on up-time, and downtime, and several Database issues.....

I want o know from the developer of this plug-in (WP-PostViews) You developed could possible be failing because of these other plug ins.

The reason I ask is that they suggested the above mentioned plug-ins and ever since I've added them my 'POSTVIEWS' have gone to crap!

I've disabled their suggested ones but there was no change.

I just want to hear it from another point of view.

Does the Caching plug-ins cause problems with yours?

I like your stuff, I've even sent some money your way for the IP ban back in the day that you first developed it. :P

Please don't take offense to another plug-in effecting yours by denying anything, but be honest so I can get to the bottom of things here. If anything, I'll drop the Caching ones.

Thanks for such GREAT plug-in aps man, your awesome!

Yea, replacing the 'Reset all IP ban stats and total ban stat?' button would be good. I like seeing that big 'Total Attempts 1120' sitting there.

Just so you know. it still works in WP 2.1
I just upgraded to 2.1 and the most recent changes still work.

I just ticked 300 IP Reset boxes.
I think you really need that select all button. :P

Umm. I'd like to make another suggestion on the attempts topic again.
Seeing as I'm getting like 100-200 attempts every day or so.

Is there a way you could maybe incorporate a select all button to tic all the boxes for resetting the list? Then all a user needs to do is de-select the ones they don't want reset.

Would save a lot of time for the user.

Thanks!
I feel I can't say this enough, but, keep up the great work!

Works great. Even with the new WP 2.0.7 update. Released about 3 hours ago.

In two days, I'm counting 156 attempts already.

*Another One Bites The Dust* plays in my mind.

Mine resets the total ban to 0. and removes all the IP's that were banned. Be nice it it still kept record of total Banns though.

The javascript e-mail thing was something I just put in on my copy. I don't believe the default has anything but a message saying," You are Banned." and that's it.

I have the e-mail with one of my disposable e-mail addresses. I don't want spamers using my admin one.

I have to give you guys a hat tip for this. This is an awesome plug-in.  ;D

YOu can put any e-mail in the javascript.

Username would be your admin name I guess, and the domain would be your domain.com.

I did that so spam bots don't harvest the e-mail address.

Edit:Removed Image. Bandwidth Reasons

Here's the results.
I had a friend kindly allow me to ban him so he could take a screen shot.
So it's working great!

PS: That's his IP, so don't ban him, he's not a scum sucking spammer. Well, not a spammer anyway. LOL  ;D

You know more than I do. LOL
It's no big deal really. Just a simple reset takes care of it.

Maybe somebody else will come up with something.  :P

Oh, umm. I just reset it.
I'll catch a screen shot again when the scum keep trying. It doesn't take long. LOL

I get:
IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP IP
A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A  A

59 Band Scum attempts. LOL

Just noticed something ugly with your little hack there Ttech,
The IP addresses run off the screen. They just keep scrolling to the right forever.

Maybe a line break?

This little fella, 69.22.132.76, wants in really bad 14 attempts.
"Silly Spammer, blogs are for real people."  >:(

I'm using it right now, and I like it. Shows how many banned attempts and the IP if the scum that is trying to access.

Total attempts would be great. It would be nice just  to see that the ban is working.

Since we're on the topic of future features. Maybe a extra feature would be to have a section displaying how many successful blocks have been made and from what host name or IP.

Just a suggestion.  :P

Keep up the awesome work.
