All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

WP-Ban / How to ban family members in the same network?
« on: 29 July 2009, 08:12 »
Hi, I am using Wordpress(.org) 2.8.2 and my ISP is Starhub Cable Vision MaxOnline and it uses a transparent proxy. I have the following three IP addresses:

222.165.80.163  <- Provided by the plugin at the top of the Ban settings page
218.186.12.249 <- Found via google
192.168.0.107 <- DHCP allocation by router; router address is 192.168.0.1

I have set DHCP to always allocate .107 to my laptop. I want to ban every other internet-enabled machine in my house from viewing my blog. The example given in the plugin says:

Examples:
» 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.255

but inputting 192.168.0.100-192.168.0.255 does not work. Nothing gets banned. I cannot input 222.165.80.163 and/or 218.186.12.249 and/or hostname, yes I've tried, because EVERY machine on my network gets banned, including my own laptop. Is there a way to ban some machines under a network instead of banning the entire network?

Is there really no way to ban MAC addresses? Because I actually like that method more.
