All Good Things Must Come To An End

As you all know, I have been doing WordPress plugins and supporting it for the past 6 years. These 6 years of my life, I have been through my polytechnic education, my national service as well as my university education.

I just graduated from university in December 2009 and have been looking for full-time jobs. I am offered a full-time job and will be starting work on 1st February 2010.

I regret to say that I am NOT ABLE to provide support for my plugins anymore due to my full-time job commitment. I will leave this forum open and let the community help one another.

However, I WILL still update my plugins whenever I can and you still can report bugs to me via email and I will try to fix it.

WP-Ban / Re: I'm Banned - But DID NOT Add My IP
« on: 27 May 2011, 11:48 »
Yes, unfortunately I am able to reproduce this.  I just added a blocked range, ABSOLUTELY NOT including my own IP, and sure enough, after save I am now blocked again.

Added:  And just like the last time all I had to do was to go clear the banned_ips_range and it was fine.  And just to prove it to myself, I just added a range of known spammer IPs which then banned me (even though my IP wasn't in the range) no matter what IP I used to try to access it, and then removed it from banned_ips_range, and all fine.  Added another range, same thing.  So I am able to reproduce this over and over.  Everything else seems to be fine but anytime I add any IP range in Banned IP Range, all IPs are then banned.

WP-Ban / I'm Banned - But DID NOT Add My IP
« on: 24 May 2011, 11:46 »
I was doing some IP blocking and after I finished I find that I am now banned.  I'm confident that I didn't add my own IP as I was pasting directly from spam comment.  ALSO, I have been unable to access my site from ANY IP -- have tried home, iphone, ipad, and two office IPs.  It's somehow banning everything.  I'm trying to make some guesses as to where to go -- am I correct that this is the wp_bad_behavior file in the wrdp database?  If so, have also confirmed that my IP isn't there.  Or is that not the location of the wp-ban database info?

Added:  Okay, fund down in wp_options the banned_ips and banned_stats.  Noticed that all of my IPs were in there.  I emptied that record.  Still cannot access the site from any IP....and when I try to, that accessing IP is immediately added to the banned_stats file.

Am beginning to wonder if I'm going to have to remove the wp-ban plugin?  See the active_plugins record, and see wp-ban but am not completely sure WHAT code there gets removed (and if that's the right way to do it).

ADDED #2 -- BUG???
Okay, started playing and found that when I cleared the banned_ips_range I am now able to regain access.  I am 100% positive that my IP wasn't in any range there -- there was only two ranges there, both of which I recall adding earlier.  Sure wish that I know what the heck this meant!
